This journal is also heavily filtered. I have quite a few different filters, for different areas of my life; since some people here are only here for the shamanism, others only for the PTSD, others only for the art, and some are here for everything.

On spirituality.
I am a dedicated, practicing shamanist; I practice contemporary shamanism but I do not identify as a Core shamanist. I ramble about it in my journal from time to time.
I keep a website on my shamanism practices called Wildspeak. Here I also run a quiet, shamanism-oriented forum. Pagans welcome, pagan friendly people are welcome.
I am also a spiritual, shamanic artist. I draw a lot of animal totem pictures. Over 224 at last count. Everything from olm, to wolf, to stephanie's astrapia, to wolverine.
On my lifestyle
I am open-minded and accepting of many differeny lifestyles, considering my own as a Childfree, kink-friendly, bi, poly, shamanist with PTSD. Lol. I like the idea of accepting others on their own terms, as long as they're honest people. I like the idea of being accepted on my own terms, while I continue to be honest and conduct myself with integrity.
I have a Bachelor's degree in media studies and mass communications; from time to time I write about analysis, and so on in my journal. I plan on going back one day to complete a PhD, but it's a 'one day in the future' kind of thing, and not a 'right now' kind of thing. :)
On mental health
I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); a diagnosis I got 12 years ago and for which I am on a Disability Support Pension (and do not work). My therapist and I are also currently working with a possible diagnosis of dissociative identity disorder mostly because it's helpful to the progress I've been making. I haven't pushed to get an 'official' diagnosis on that though, mostly because I don't really want one.
I've been in fairly intensive therapy for two years; and have actually seen 9 other therapists in the past. This current therapeutic alliance is the most productive one I've been in. We use parts work (esp. internal family systems) therapies, and pretty much other things we can cobble together that work; particularly in the arena of trauma therapies.
I have emetophobia, and a severe touch phobia (aphephobia / haphephobia). I have not been touched or hugged except under duress for 2 years. I am highly dissociative. I am socially awkward and not, by any stretch of the imagination, an extroverted socialite. That said, I do love my friends, and I love to laugh.
